As the Pacific Northwest Regional Director of PGMS, I am pleased to announce the kick off meeting for their latest Branch, the “Western Washington Branch,” to be held at the University of Puget Sound in Tacoma, Washington.
This will be an open meeting for members and those interested in becoming part of the leading organization for grounds managers. Featuring two education sessions by local vendors, Coates Landscape Supply and Winfield United, the meeting will include lunch. It is free to attend, however we do require an RSVP.

9:00 – 10:30 a.m. Introduction about PGMS, Installation of Branch Officers, Future Meeting Dates and Locations, Education Ideas/Opportunities (Donuts/Coffee provided by PGMS)

10: 45 – 11:20 a.m. Winfield United: Frank Santiago, from Dow Agro Sciences will speak about the pre emergence weed control in beds, discuss timing, usage rates, and selecting the correct product for your needs.
11:20 a.m. – Noon Coates Landscape Supply: Preston Farner Equipment. Where are your costs? What is the value of efficiency or the cost of down time? The How, When, and What to maintain on equipment and the value of routine maintenance.

Future meeting dates and locations will be sent electronically to the PGMS Branch Membership. As a member, meetings will be free of charge, however, non-members will be able to attend with a fee. PGMS membership means you are not only part of the local branch, but also a member of the National organization, allowing you access to unparalleled resources, such as networking, education, and certification.
